There are a number of reasons why the app will show 'Error Communicating with Wall Connector' below are some solutions that may help you resolve these issues.
• Did not allow local access • Wall Connector IP address has changed • Wall Connector's local hotspot is off • You are no longer on the same Wi-Fi/network as your Wall Connector
Local network access is required for this app to communicate with your Wall Connector, when first connecting make sure you tap ‘Allow’.
If you accidentally tap ‘Don’t Allow’ you can go to your phone's Settings then Wall Monitor, then switch on Local Network, as shown above.
From time to time, your router may issue a new IP address to devices on your network.
If Wall Monitor has stopped communicating with your Wall Connector you should check the IP address of your wall connector has not changed, and update the app accordingly.
Your Wall Connector has a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot that is enabled when commissioning or changing settings, this is usually only available for 10-15 mins before it's automatically turned off.
It is not recommended to use Wall Monitor with this Wi-Fi hotspot, if you have entered the IP address '192.168.92.1' into Wall Monitor it's likely you have connected to your Wall Connector's temporary hotspot. You should change this IP address to the one on your local network.
If Wall Monitor has stopped communicating with your Wall Connector you should check you are still connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Wall Connector or you have not disconnected from Wi-Fi (eg: you are connected to the internet via cellular and not connected to Wi-Fi).
You should also check your Wall Connector is still connected to your Wi-Fi.
